Caravaggio: A Life Sacred and Profane
Walking through the streets of the city centre of Rome, which have remained almost unchanged, we will see the places where Caravaggio lived, suffered and rejoiced, creating extraordinary masterpieces that differentiated him from all other artistis of his time. A brilliant artist, quarrelsome by nature, he intensely lived every minute of his short life. Passionate affairs, violent disputes, denunciations, arrests, trials, his flight from Rome and his untimely death, but above all the timeless masterpieces that are his paintings, continue to make us feel closer to him and to his art.
*During the visit we will have the chance to see some of his masterpieces live entering in the churches of St. Louis of France St. Augustine, and S Maria del Popolo. While admire his other works of art using some reproductions. The visit aims to outline the artist's life so to better understand the value of his works of art.
